My own true loving little wife,

I have been pretty busy today copying rugs and the watercolors for Mr. Hubbell. He does so much for me all the time that I feel as though I ought to do something for him. The copies will come in fine for him as when he sells a rug he can have another one made like it.

The Navajo squaw, back of my room, commenced to work on the rug today. It is interesting to see her work.

Mr. Hubbell is going to cook another supper tonight like he did last night.

I probably will leave here in two weeks from now, which will make three weeks here. I have so many places to go to that I can’t stop here much longer than (2) three weeks. I will probably be in Moqui a month, as the Indians, they say, are more interesting. I may return to the railroad station coming this way to Gallup, as they say the roads are poor from Moqui to Holbrook which is 85 miles. There is no place to stop on the way and I could stop here overnight, but it is some 110 miles by wagon.

What things, rugs, pottery and pictures I have painted will ship to Chicago after I get through with Moqui. The mail only goes to Moqui once a week. I will be glad when get to a place where the mail comes every day.

Well my dear, I will close now. Give my love to your folks. Good night darling. Your own true loving husband.

Lots of love hugs & kisses,

Elbridge
