"The picture shows a somewhat typical scene at the place of the Italian market gardener at Third and Egbert Avenue, San Francisco, and artist E. A. Burbank has skillfully caught the details with his clever pencil. Owner Arbasetti said he took off some of the paddles on the wheel because it ran too fast. It has a capacity of about 75,000 gallons of water in ten hours, he reports. That's for the vegetables, and also for the house, and the wind goes gaily on its way to do a turn for someone else, so long as any one puts up a wheel to harness its power. It is certainly economical."
